Easter


INTO/EBS National Handwriting Competition

Vera Mereacre from Junior Infants, room 3 has won 3rd place in her category in the INTO/EBS National Handwriting Competition. Ms Curran, her teacher and all the staff and children of the school are so proud of her.






School Assembly





Our school assembly today concluded a very busy month. We began with a lovely prayer service to celebrate Easter. First class sang lovely songs. The Gaeilge club performed a dance. Then 9 girls performed some Irish Dancing.

Easter Holidays

As we approach the end of the second term, Ms Kirwan would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for the wonderful support you have given to the school. The school has had a very successful year to date and this is in no small way attributed to your continued support.

School will close at 12:00 noon on Friday 22nd March and re-open on April 8th.

Seachtain na Gaeilge





A trad group called Púca came in this morning to perform a 'seisiún ceoil'. The children had a fantastic time. They enjoyed dancing and singing. RTÉ news2day also came in. Have a look on RTÉ news2day at 4:25 to see their report.

Booking is not required. If you are interested just come along.

  • The effects and signs of bullying
  • Why children don't tell
  • What parents can do to help their child

Green Schools Action Day

Our day continues with assembly. Mrs Murray's class were awarded the 'Golden Boot' for being the best class at walking to school on Wednesdays during February. Ms Kerrigan's class won the competition for the Blingin Boot.
Mrs Dixon's class showed the children how to do the Safe Cross Code dance.

We moved to the hall where all our posters were displayed. The green schools committee quizzed the children on all of our flags. We voted on the best 'blingin boot'.
