Intercultural Week

We had a special assembly on Friday to celebrate Intercultural Week.

Junior Infants learnt all about Ireland and told us some special facts about our country.

Senior Infants knew about Africa. Some parents came in to classes during the week and spoke about their country. Lots of families in our school are from Nigeria.

We have two American students working in our school at the moment. They taught First Class all about America.

Second Class learnt about Romania.

We pointed out each of the countries on the map. Each class level then sang a song. Junior Infants sang "Lámha suas", Senior Infants sang "A ram sam sam", First Class sang "Yankee Doodle" and Second Class sang "Hello Around the World".

Everyone wore a badge with the flag of their country on it. We really enjoyed learning about other countries.
