Max Out With Reading Book Week

As you know we are constantly striving to improve reading standards among the children in St Patrick's. With this in mind we are running a "Max Out With Reading Book Week" next week. We have lots of interesting activities planned.

Celtic Book Fair will be in our school hall all week from 9:00-9:40am and 1:40-2:40pm. Parent's are invited to attend at these times. You and your child can purchase books at discounted prices.

The children will also be visiting Blanchardstown Library, a great FREE reading resource on our doorstep. The trip will take place during school hours.

Talk for Parents " Help your child with reading" on Wednesday 5th at 1:50pm in the school hall.

Author/ Illustrator Steve Simpson will read to the children.

Confirmation Day

On Friday 28th February the Senior School will be celebrating Confirmation Day. This will not affect the opening and closing times of the Junior School, which will operate as usual.
If your child is normally collected by a child from the Senior School, please make sure arrangements are in place for collection.
Confirmation Day is a very important day in the life of a family. Should you have a child who is a candidate for Confirmation and would like his/her younger brother/sister to attend the school will facilitate you in doing so by permitting you to take your child out either before or after the ceremony.

Aistear in Room 4

The children in room 4 learned about homes in Aistear. They played in the kitchen and learned words like mixing, stirring, and whisking. In art they made houses and other buildings.
