Our Science Court

We took advantage of the nice weather to go out to look at the equipment in our Science Court.

Room 11 looked to see what direction the wind was blowing.
They saw how the anemometer measures how fast the wind blows.

Junior Infants looked at the rain guage and the cloud cover mirror.

First Holy Communion

Children from our Second Classes made their First Holy Communion in the Church on Saturday.

They had spent many weeks preparing with their teachers and with Fr. Michael. They had special candles and certificates from their Enrolment Ceremony on display. They presented flowers, a football, candles, a globe, our Green Schools certificate, Enrolment Certificates and the bread and wine to the altar in the Entrance Procession.

The girls and boys all looked beautiful and had a lovely day.

American Visitors!

We said goodbye today to our two American students who have been completing their final teaching practice in our school over the last number of weeks.
Katie and Kelsey come from Misericordia University in Pennsylvania and have been working with our First Classes.
Our school has hosted a number of students from the University over the past number of years and continues to enjoy a special relationship with our teaching colleagues in the USA. We hope that they have enjoyed their time with us in Corduff.
