Green Schools Week

We had a really successful Green Schools Week this week.

We wanted to remind everyone about Green Schools.

Each class spent a day focusing on recycling. We visited the different recycling bins we have for paper, plastic, refuse, batteries and even mobile phones!

We also learnt about saving energy. We read the story of Guzzler the alien who has to learn how to switch off lights and appliances.

We will be applying for our third Green Flag next year for saving water. So we also spent a day talking about ways to save water.

The week ended with a big Green Schools Assembly. Each class sang a Green Schools song. We had very special awards for the best classes at remembering to turn off lights and close doors. It was a great week!

Have a look at our Green Schools page for more info!
