Green Schools Flag Raising Ceremony

We had a lovely day today, hosting our third Green Schools Flag Raising. We were awarded the flag for our work on saving water, as well as maintaining our litter and waste and energy-saving initiatives.

We were delighted to be joined by the Lord Mayor of Fingal, Patricia Kennedy from Fingal County Council, members of our Board of Management, Carmel Keena, our first Green Schools Co-ordinator, Councillor David McGuinness, a past pupil and special guests from local papers and media.

All of our classes were very excited and looked wonderful in their colourful headbands. Lots of parents also joined us for the special occasion.

We had lots of thank yous. First, to our special guests for giving their time to celebrate with us. We also thanked our teachers for the huge amount of wonderful work they do every day. We said thank you to our children for working so hard to look after the environment.

Finally, we said thanks to our Green Schools Committee for their commitment to the programme and hard work preparing for the day. Our support staff, as always, also played a huge part of the preparation for the day and we were very grateful for their support.

Well done to everyone!
